Key Responsibilities

As the System Administrator, you will be a vital part of the ICT team, tasked with a broad range of responsibilities that ensure the bank's technological health and security. Your duties will include:

• System & Network Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and related hardware. You will also monitor server performance to guarantee optimal uptime and manage critical network services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Data Integrity & Security: Performing regular backups and restore operations to protect against data loss. You will be responsible for implementing robust security measures, conducting regular security audits, and managing firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect the bank's digital assets.
• Technical Support & Training: Providing timely and efficient technical support to all bank staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. You will also develop and provide training on IT best practices and new technologies to empower colleagues.
• Strategic IT Planning: Planning and executing system upgrades and patches, evaluating and recommending new hardware and software to enhance IT operations. This includes maintaining detailed documentation of all systems and procedures.
• Business Continuity & Compliance: Developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan and regularly testing procedures to ensure business continuity. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements related to IT and data security.
• Reporting & Reporting: Preparing and submitting detailed reports on IT operations, security incidents, and overall system performance to the management.
• Additional Duties: Performing any other work or responsibility assigned by a supervisor or the bank’s management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To be a successful candidate for this crucial role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from a reputable university. Candidates with a 3rd class in any academic record are not eligible.
• Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in system administration, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in a banking or financial services environment. Experience in handling core banking systems and business intelligence is a must.
• Certifications: Candidates with relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator are highly preferred.
